The 7-Eleven Team, later the Motorola Cycling Team was founded in 1981 by Jim Ochowicz, a former US Olympic Cyclist. The team lasted 16 years sponsored by 7-Eleven from 1981 to 1990 and Motorola from 1991 to 1996.
